I' m gonna write this post in english for once in a while to make it easy for my 'huge foreign readers community' and also 'cause this way cogliati can' t even understand a fucking word ( aha aha ah!!).
it's a few days i' m already here in Bali and really having a good time.
it's supposed to be rainy season this period but we' ve been quite lucky until now having rained a little and mainly in the afternoons, it' s still an enjoyable weather.
i arrived first to Lovina, in the less developed and touristic north coast.
the black sand beaches aren' t that great, but this i already knew.
Bali is not for beautiful and unspoiled beaches but for its variety of landscapes and culture and the atmosphere in general.
we did rent a motorbike and went to the back hills driving through typical villages and lush green forests, stopping here and there shooting pictures or drinking something.
we eventually did a long ride enjoyng the hot water of a hot spring amidst the jungle, visiting the biggest buddhist temple on the island and the famous and overrated ' typical bali's photo ' multi roofed hindu temple on the mysty lake.
it was cloudy and quite chilly there being these spots up in the hills and we finally had a big relief getting down to the coast along a nice scenic route.
next Lovina we headed to the eastern tip of Bali in a place called Amed.
this place means a long stretch of very little and laid back fishing villages where the big attraction is the barrier reef just few meters off the shore.
we rented the snorkeling equipment and had a great time spotting every kind of coral and colorful 'fish bowl' fishes wandering around me while i was swimming.
there is also a japanese wreck one can see just snorkeling without diving.
we went as well to the back side to see the famous rice terraces with the motorbike.
driving slowly on those streets is always a big pleasure.
we' re staying here some more days and then we' ll catch the fast boat to Gili island
where we' re meant to spend Christmas.
not being at home for those days is strange, the first time i' m gonna travel during Christmas but i think Gili, though in low season, is not even the worst place on earth to spend the holidays.
you can check many beautiful shots on the link here besides.
we think to stay on Gili Trawangan but i guess all the three island are awesome.
they' re quite isolated too and was told that internet connection is very slow and expensive.
don' t know if i' ll update the blog there, i will likely do that later.
ok see you later, stay tuned
